Suspicious man at Saskatoon schools identified by police

Saskatoon police say they have identified the man who started conversations with students at three elementary schools over the last month.

Between May 16 and June 13, police received reports three of a suspicious male who approached students at Pope John Paul II and Hugh Cairns V.C. schools.

In two of those incidents, the man was inside the schools when he approached the students.

Last Tuesday, police received a fourth report of a suspicious man in a school, this time at Buena Vista School.

Staff there escorted the man out of the school.

Police have now arrested a 28-year-old man on separate, unrelated charges of breach of probation.

He remains in custody and police continue to investigate.
