Former administrator charged with fraud

A Saskatchewan woman is facing multiple fraud charges after a lengthy investigation by Moose Jaw RCMP.

In March 2010, officers received two similar complaints from the RM’s of Wheatlands and the Village of Mortlach about Elaine Salikin.

Police began an investigation on the former administrator for the RM’s, which has led to charges including one count of fraud over $5000, one count of fraud under $5000 and one count of falsifying books and documents.

Police believe the offense happened between 2007 and 2009, and estimate around $113K in losses.

Salikin is heading to court on June 1.
