A father and son are in hospital recovering from gunshot wounds after an early morning shooting in Surrey.
Surrey RCMP said the 23-year-old son had just returned home at around 2 a.m. Monday when an unknown man entered the residence near 124th Street and 74th Avenue and began firing at close range.
The son’s 47-year-old father, who was inside the house at the time, was also shot.
Both men were injured in the hand and wrist area and were transported to hospital. Their injuries are deemed non-life threatening.
The suspect fled on foot.
Mounties said it is still not clear whether there is a connection between the son and the shooter and on what may have motivated this attack. The son is known to police.
