<p>MALPEQUE, P.E.I. – Three men and a young woman are safe after the coast guard plucked them from a lobster boat ran aground on a sandbar in P.E.I.’s Malpeque Bay.</p> <p>The coast guard station in Summerside dispatched a small rescue boat Saturday after receiving a distress call from a boat that was taking on taking on water in the bay.</p> <p>The coast guard received help from police, the Kensington fire department and area fishermen.</p> <p>No injuries were reported, but the boat’s crew were cold and checked for hypothermia.</p> <p>RCMP say the boat will likely be removed from the sandbar today, weather permitting.</p> <p>Close to 600 lobster fishermen from Prince Edward Island’s north shore starting setting their traps Saturday with the start of the spring fishery in the Gulf of St. Lawrence.</p>
