SPIRITWOOD, Sask. – According to autopsy results, there is insufficient evidence to identify human remains recovered from a house fire on a Saskatchewan reserve earlier this month.

On March 2, RCMP were called to a building on fire on the Witchekan Lake First Nation.

Seven people evacuated the home but a child was unaccounted for.

Human remains were located in the debris the following day.

There is considerable indication that the remains are those of 10-year-old Iesha Star Amy Rabbitskin.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.
