Firefighters find dead body on southern Alberta reserve

Fire crews fighting a grass fire on the Blood reserve discovered an unidentified body.

The human remains were found Tuesday around 9: 45 p.m. when the Cardston Fire Department and the Blood Tribe Police Service arrived at the fire in the community of Moses Lake on the Blood reserve.

The body was transported to the Calgary medical examiner’s office to determine the cause of death and to establish identity.

Police are waiting for autopsy results to determine if the death is suspicious.
