Around 300 member of the Health Sciences Association of Saskatchewan (HSAS) are on strike in Saskatoon.

There is no word yet from the Saskatoon Health Region (SHR) on how the strike will affect patient care and surgeries.

Health care professionals on strike in Saskatoon:

– Addictions Counsellors from the Calder Center, Brief and Social Detox, George Bailey Counselling Center, McKerracher Center, Mental Health Services, St. Paul’s Hospital, Sturdy Stone, and the Youth Resource Centre

– Assessor/Coordinators from the Idylwyld Center

– Audiologists from the Royal University Hospital

– Dental Health Therapists and Health Educators from the Idylwyld Center

– Dietitians from the Rosthern Union Hospital, Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon City Hospital and St. Paul’s Hospital

– Exercise/Conditioning Therapists from Royal University Hospital, the Saskatoon Field House, and St. Paul’s Hospital

– Masters Psychologists from the Kinsmen Children’s Center, Southeast Health Center, Saskatoon City Hospital and Mental Health Services

– Nutritionists from Public Health

– Occupational Therapists from the Idylwyld Center, Kinsmen Children’s Center, Parkridge Center, Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon City Hospital, Sherbrooke Community Centre and St. Paul’s Hospital

– Orthoptist from Royal University Hospital

– Pharmacists from Royal University Hospital and St. Paul’s Hospital

– PhD Psychologists from the Royal University Hospital, Mental Health Services, and the Youth Resource Centre

– Physical Therapists from the Idylwyld Center, Kinsmen Children’s Center, Parkridge Center, Royal University Hospital and Saskatoon City Hospital

– Psychometrician from Saskatoon City Hospital

– Public Health Inspectors from Public Health
