HALIFAX – The list of people arrested in connection with the murder of Brandon Hatcher has grown again, with a fourth person facing charges.
Halifax Regional Police arrested a 41-year-old male Tuesday afternoon, but his name has not been released.
He is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court Wednesday on charges of being an accessory after the fact, possession of a weapon, possession of an unauthorized weapon and breach of a weapon prohibition.
Hatcher was shot last December in the 100-block of Lavender Walk, in Halifax’s Spryfield neighbourhood.
The 20-year-old man died in hospital a short time later.
Three people have been charged already, including a woman arrested last week on a charge of being an accessory after the fact.
Police charged two other males with first degree murder in March: a 17-year old male, already incarcerated in the Waterville Youth Detention Centre, and 21-year-old Cody Alexander Muise, who was also behind bars at the Central Nova Scotia Correctional Facility on an unrelated matter.
Hatcher was a known associate of Jimmy Melvin Jr., a member of Halifax’s notorious Melvin crime family.
