Convicted pedophile Ernest Fenwick MacIntosh’s appeal case has been put on hold.

A Nova Scotia provincial court judge sentenced MacIntosh last September to a four-year sentence for 13 charges of gross indecency and indecent assault, but with time served he would only have to stay behind bars for two years less a day.

The charges stem from a string of sex crimes he committed against boys more than 30 years ago.

The appeal hearing today was adjourned until June 8 as Crown counsel was unable to appear in court due to unforeseen circumstances.

In February, he was also found guilty of additional gross indecency and indecent assault charges against two young boys in the 1970s.

RCMP extradited MacIntosh back to Canada from India in 2007, 15 years after the RCMP began to receive complaints about the Cape Breton businessman
