WHL player in critical condition at Saskatoon hospital

SASKATOON – A Western Hockey League (WHL) player in critical condition after being diagnosed with Meningitis at Saskatoon Hospital.

Kootenay Ice’s Tim Bozon was admitted to Saskatoon’ Royal University Hospital (RUH) on Saturday and has been diagnosed with Neisseria Meningitis.

The Ice played the Saskatoon Blades on Friday night.

Bozon’s parents have flown in from their home in Switzerland to be with him.

The family has indicated his condition is critical.

Public health officials are in the process of reviewing the case to ensure all the necessary precautions are taken.

Bozon, 19, was drafted 64th overall in the 2012 NHL entry draft by the Montreal Canadiens.
