A drug bust on Friday in Meadow Lake, Sask. and the surrounding area has landed nine people in custody or with warrants issued for their arrest. This comes after a six month investigation into drug trafficking in the region.
On Friday, RCMP officers from a number of detachments in Saskatchewan simultaneously executed four separate search warrants as part of Project EPOCH on two residences on the Flying Dust First Nation and two residences in Meadow Lake.
Officers found a total of 106 grams of crack cocaine, $11,000 in cash, four vehicles and four weapons.
In total, eight adults and one youth were arrested and warrants have been issued for the arrest of two of the individuals.
No court dates have been set for the accused and police continue to investigate.
Meadow Lake is about 250 km northwest of Saskatoon.
The following people have been charged.
Lori Lachance, a 37-year-old female from the Flying Dust First Nation, Sask. She is charged with trafficking a controlled substance and proceeds of crime.
Howard Lachance, a 59 year-old male from the Flying Dust First Nation, Sask. He has been charged with proceeds of crime.
Lisa Ahenakew , a 24 year-year-old female from Saskatoon. She is charged with proceeds of crime.
Robert Brent Graham, a 49 year-old male from Meadow Lake. He has been charged with trafficking a controlled substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance (cocaine) and proceeds of crime.
Aaron Keith Ross, a 32-year-old male from Meadow Lake. He is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance (cocaine), proceeds of crime and beach of undertaking.
Kaylee Lynn Roy, an 18 year-old female from Meadow Lake. She is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance (cocaine), proceeds of crime and beach of undertaking.
One youth, a 16 year-old male from Meadow Lake. He is charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance (cocaine) and proceeds of crime.
