During March and April, Winnipeg Police have received more than 40 reports of theft from mailboxes throughout the city.

Suspects have broken into apartment blocks in the area of downtown Winnipeg, North Henderson Highway, South Pembina Highway, West Portage Avenue and Osborne Village areas. They appear to be targeting large apartment buildings that have separate mailrooms.

Police have now released photos of one of the men suspected in this case. He is described as in his mid 30’s to early 40’s, 5’8″ and a medium build, with a long hair in a ponytail and the sides of his head shaved.

People are being advised to watch their bank accounts for unusual activity and pay special attention to mail they are expecting, but have not received. Anyone with information about this suspect or case is asked to contact police at 986-6668 or CrimeStoppers at 786-TIPS.
