North America’s finest pastry chefs are gearing up to go head-to-head at the 25th Annual US Pastry Competition in New York next weekend. This year’s theme for the decadent creations is ‘Film Animation’. Yew Restaurant’s Chef Bruno Feldeisen is the only Canadian competing. Before he takes off for the Big Apple, he joins us in studio with his son Sergio. The pair is making Dark Chocolate Mousse Salted Caramel & Pineapple Yuzu Compote.

How well honed are your taste buds? Sommelier Tim Ellison from the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts is putting our hosts to the test with a Blind Wine Tasting Challenge. He’ll cover the labels and see who can figure out which wine is which. Ellison is hosting a similar event at the upcoming Vancouver International Wine Festival.
