The stage is set for an exciting gold medal game at the 2010 Esso Cup between the Notre Dame Hounds (West) and the Thunder Bay Queens (Ontario).

Both teams earned berths into the final of Canada’s National Female Midget Championship by coming out on top in semifinal action Friday. Thunder Bay edged the Edmonton Thunder (Pacific) 2-1, while Notre Dame shut out the Regina Rebels (Host) 5-0.  The Queens and Hounds were the top two teams in round-robin play, with Thunder Bay winning the head-to-head match-up between the two teams 5-2 on Thursday afternoon in the final preliminary game for both.
