Fourth arrest made in deadly Markham home invasion

NEWMARKET, Ont. – A fourth person is facing charges in a fatal home invasion in Markham

York Regional Police homicide investigators arrested Daniel Chi-Kwong Wong, 25, of Ajax, at his workplace on Tuesday.

Wong is charged with first-degree murder, attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder and is to appear in court on Wednesday.

Bieh Ha Pan, 53, was shot to death at her Markham home on Nov. 8, and her husband, Huei Hann Pan, 57, was also shot but survived.

Jennifer Pan, 24, was charged with first-degree murder, attempted murder and conspiracy in the death of her mother and her father’s shooting on Nov. 22. She is scheduled to appear in Newmarket court on May 9.

Eric Carty, 31, and David Mylvaganam, 22, of Toronto are charged with first-degree murder, attempted murder and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence. Police say further arrests are anticipated.
