Jensen Cheese brand Old Cheddar Cheese (white) recalled due to Listeria. CFIA

TORONTO – The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is recalling Jensen’s “white” Old Cheddar Cheese due to concerns over possible listeria contamination.

The product is sold under its name but also as an unnamed bulk brand at stores throughout Southern Ontario .

Food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick. Symptoms can include vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches, severe headache and neck stiffness.

The affected product was sold in variable weight packages at the following retail locations in Ontario:
