SASKATOON – Environment Canada was forecasting extreme wind chill values in Saskatchewan near minus 40 over Saturday night in the southeast portion of the province.
Extremely cold temperatures were imminent or occurring in these regions.
A combination of brisk winds up to 20 km/h and temperatures near minus 30, produced extreme wind chills overnight and early Sunday morning.
