CAWSTON — A Cawston family is homeless after a fire swept through their house on Friday.
The fire started at 7:30 am Friday morning. When firefighters arrived, the home was fully engulfed.

Two people were inside at the time, but escaped without injury.
Keremeos Fire Chief, Jordie Bosscha, says their firefighting efforts were hampered by a lack of water in the area.
A tender truck and 5 firefighters from Osoyoos were brought in to assist.
By noon, firefighters were still battling the stubborn blaze.
