MELFORT, Sask. – A Melfort, Sask. man has been sentenced in provincial court for defrauding the Saskatchewan workers’ compensation board (WCB) of almost $27,000.

The charges were originally laid in April of 2012.
The former autobody repairman pleaded guilty to going back to work while still receiving income replacement.
He’s received an 18-month conditional sentence and was ordered to repay the WCB.
