More comprehensive weather forecasts coming to the News Hour

When it comes to reporting the weather on the News Hours, we’ve listened to your comments about what you’d like to see and this is what the Global BC team has come up with for you.

Starting on February 3, Meteorologist Kristi Gordon will be splitting her previous segment into two separate forecasts. This new format will allow her to spend a little more time to bring viewers detailed and comprehensive forecasts covering the province.

The first weather forecast segment, which will be on at roughly 6:20 p.m., will cover the south coast and include the Lower Mainland, Sunshine Coast and Vancouver Island.

In the second segment at 6:35 p.m. Gordon will focus on B.C. in order to give more time and detail to the various regions throughout the province.

Last, and by popular demand, we’re also bringing back the national weather forecast to the News Hour.
