Interesting Fact: Lawes’ inspiration is her late father Keith, who died in 2007. She paid tribute to him by winning the 2008 Canadian Junior Championship just four months after he passed away.

Chances: Like the men, Canada’s women are always one of the favourite teams in curling. The women’s team expects to return from Sochi with an Olympic medal.
