EDMONTON – A slow-speed collision involving three train cars that were being moved resulted in a derailment in north Edmonton.

It happened at Walker Yard in the area of 72 St. and Yellowhead Tr. around 10:20 Wednesday morning.

Two dangerous goods tanker cars derailed, as did three locomotive engines, and one empty flat car. All of them derailed upright.

A preliminary investigation has found that a diesel fuel leak occurred in one of the engines; it has since been plugged, though.

There was no indication of leaks in the two tanker cars that derailed.

No one was injured in the incident, which is still under investigation.
