B.C.’s Minister of Multiculturalism Teresa Wat was in Vancouver today speaking with more than 400 members of the Chinese community about efforts to redress historical wrongs.

The province is looking for input on the wording and delivery of a formal apology to the Chinese community concerning past legislation that the Minister says had racist undertones.
The legislation dealt with everything from voting rights to property ownership.
Some attending today’s forum say that an apology without financial compensation isn’t enough.
