Vancouver-based Telus Corp. reported its earnings fell nine per cent in the second quarter of 2009 as declines in voice revenues more than offset growth in data sales at Canada's second-largest phone company. Profit fell to $244 million from $268 million in the corresponding period a year ago. Earnings per share fell to 77 cents from 83 cents. Sales declined $22 million to $2.377 billion from $2.399 billion a year ago.
