TORONTO – Most of us have never experienced a truly dark sky with the Milky Way and its billions of stars stretching out over our heads.

But between Oct. 25 and 27, stargazers gathered at Jasper National Park to take advantage of the dark skies for the annual Jasper Dark Sky Festival to view the Milky Way in all its splendor.

One stargazer, Jack Fusco, captured a stunning time lapse of the Milky Way rising over the park during the festival.
