CALGARY – Julie Kelly and her husband are expecting their first child in the New Year, but won’t have to stress about paying for their baby’s bottles or diapers.
The Calgary couple won over $1.6 million on the December 7th Lotto 6/49 draw.

Julie bought the ticket at the Safeway Gas Bar on 130 Avenue S.E., and says it’s only one of five or six times that she’s bought a Lotto 6/49 ticket.
She shared the $5 Million jackpot with two other tickets that matched the same six numbers – sold in Ontario and Quebec.
Her share of the prize is $1,666,666.70, which she says will go toward a new vehicle and a new home for their new family.
“We want a place with a nice big backyard to play in,” she says.
