The deaths of five individuals, including three children, have sent shockwaves across Manitoba on Sunday.

On Feb. 11, the Manitoba RCMP confirmed that the five people were known to each other. The three children were pulled out of a burning vehicle on Sunday.

“This is a tragic day for so many people who have lost a loved one today,” said Inspector Tim Arseneault with the Manitoba RCMP. “For the community of Carman and for this province, there are many questions we still need to be answered.”

Manitoba RCMP held a press conference on Feb. 11 to provide some details on the tragedy.

“We have teams of officers working across southern Manitoba to determine what exactly happened and what led to these events,” said Inspector Arseneault.
