RCMP, city and Canadian border police say they have seized a kilogram of heroin in Edmonton.
The dope – enough for 10,000 doses – was found in a false-compartment of a suitcase at Edmonton International Airport.
Police say the heroin came from the United Kingdom.
Officers then arrested an Edmonton man Tuesday at his home.
Yadwindar Singh, 27, is charged with importing and possessing drugs for the purposes of trafficking.
Singh was being held in custody and was to appear in Edmonton provincial court on Friday.
