Cases adjourned until 2014 for 2 charged in missing C.B. fisherman’s death

PORT HAWKESBURY, N.S. – Two people charged in connection with the disappearance and alleged killing of a Cape Breton fisherman have had their cases adjourned until February.

Dwayne Matthew Samson is charged with second-degree murder in Phillip Boudreau’s death, while Carla Ann Samson is charged with being an accessory after the fact.

Both were expected to have trial dates set today in provincial Supreme Court in Port Hawkesbury, but their cases were adjourned until Feb. 14.

They were both committed to stand trial following preliminary hearings last week.

They are among four people charged in the case.

Boudreau’s overturned boat was found in Petit-de-Grat harbour on June 1, but his body has never been recovered.
