In a news release on Monday, executive director Karyn Kirkwood said the gala is the foundation’s signature fundraiser.
“It’s all thanks to the incredible support from our sponsors, donors, guests, volunteers, and staff that it is such a resounding success and a fun night of celebration,” Kirkwood said.
The fundraiser helps enhance the well-being of children youth, connecting them with experiences and supports that will make them feel like they belong and reach their potential.
The event’s impactful Fund-A-Need raised nearly $53,000 in donations, which Kirkwood added brings a happily ever after to so many children and youth in the community.
Every year, the foundation helps around 23,000 children by providing things such as two million healthy meals and snacks to schools and funding close to 1,400 recreational and life-skill activities.
The not-for-profit organization also provides critical education and mental health supports and delivers holiday magic to more than 1,500 families.
