Time is running out for Albertans to apply for disaster assistance from the province.

Those with uninsurable damage caused by the June 2013 floods have until the end of the day on Saturday, November 30 to submit their applications.

The Southern Alberta Disaster Recovery Program was announced just days after June’s flooding; it provides financial assistance for property damage not covered by insurance.

So far, the government has received approximately 9,490 applications, and has made almost 4,000 payments totalling $25-million.
