Canada’s defence chief uncertain where NORAD upgrade cash coming from

In an interview on this week's edition of "The West Block," Chief of the Defence Staff Gen. Wayne Eyre said he isn't clear where the money to implement promised upgrades to NORAD continental defence systems is coming from. Defence Minister Anita Anand had said a promised $4.9-billion upgrade would come from new money, before correcting that the money was part of $8 billion in new spending promised in the last federal budget.
