A team of SLOW FOOD committee chefs will create a multi-course dinner that celebrates some of our favourite recipes from the last 10 years of Slow Food dinners.  As always, Slow Food Saskatoon highlights Saskatchewan’s local producers, partnering with them for everything from microgreens to grains to fresh lamb.  This is more than just a fundraiser for Slow Food.  This is also a chance for us to partner with other organizations that are working for food, health and sustainability.  It’s also a chance for likeminded people to gather and remember the many celebrations we’ve held over the years, with good food and our many generous supporters,” says Slow Food Leader Noelle Chorney.  “We are grateful to Fresh Dish Catering for offering their space and their chefs’ expertise to make this evening a success.”

Proceeds from the evening will go towards funding youth to attend Slow Food’s International conference, Terra Madre, in Turin, Italy, in 2024.  Slow Food fundraisers also include a silent auction of local products, dining experiences, cookbooks and gardening books.

Slow Food Saskatoon encourages guests to purchase their tickets soon: ticket sales close on September 14th to ensure chefs can plan the right amount of food for an accurate number of guests.  “One of Slow Food’s principles is to prevent food waste, but that also means we have to be strict about not selling last minute tickets,” explains Noelle Chorney.
