The City invites residents to join us for a fun and community-spirit neighbourhood cleanup! Meet like-minded people in your community, enjoy some time outdoors, and beautify our city along with members of City Council and City staff. We have 4 summer cleanups scheduled in each quadrant of Burnaby, with a new “spring cleaning” session this May—see schedule below for meeting locations. All ages and abilities are welcome to participate. Equipment like gloves, litter pickers, and receptacles will be provided by the City through our Adopt-a-Street program. Volunteers will meet at the parking lot of the locations listed below, receive a short orientation and break into groups before going on a short clean-up route together with City staff. Participants are encouraged to wear bright colours to increase their visibility, and to wear sunscreen and a hat.
