River Basin Days is a series of outdoor public programs for families. Join us at different locations around the Fraser River Basin as we explore this incredible watershed! Bust out your pencils and paper, this month we’re headed to Redwood Park in Surrey to practice drawing from life! We’ll learn some simple techniques for observational sketching, play some art games, and paint with real ocean water. No experience necessary, this workshop is for all ages and abilities. All art materials will be provided. Our staff will guide you through one hour of activities, experiments, and art projects as we learn about the biodiversity of the great Fraser River. This program will be free of charge as part of Surrey’s Environmental Extravaganza. COVID-19 safety protocols are in place, so please register in advance. Register on our website!
