SS Atlantic 150 Anniversary Gala Reception

An evening of history & entertainment to remember and reconnect to the story of the SS Atlantic.

The SS Atlantic Heritage Park Society with support from the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 is marking 150 years since the sinking of the SS Atlantic with a Gala Reception.

Local talents from Prospect, Lower Prospect, Terence Bay and surrounding area will provide the backdrop for the evening as guests are invited to remember and reconnect to the story of the SS Atlantic. The evening begins at 7pm with a reception and music by harpist Ellen Gibling during which guests can view the exhibit on display at the Canadian Museum of Immigration.

Guests will then be invited to their seats for a guest lecture by author and historian Bob Chaulk, original music by Sheila Lamplugh and Rosalee Peppard Lockyer, and Irish dance by Diaga. The Rob Brown Band will close out the event.

Early bird tickets are on sale until May 1 for $20 at www.ssatlantic.com. Tickets are $25 after May 1.
