In celebration of their 114th year, the Saskatoon & District Labour Council presents an evening of information and entertainment.  St. Thomas More political studies professor Charles Smith will present the historic, present and future significance of May Day.  History buffs will come away with never before revealed facts about Saskatoon’s labour scene in its earliest days.

The evening will feature a performance by the undeniably soulful vocals of Wilma Groenen backed by Brett Balon on the piano, plus the hard-hitting roots-rock music of the Ray Elliot Band.  Music fans will be treated to a bevy of socially-informed original and traditional labour music from some of the Saskatoon Musicians’ Association’s best artists.

Doors Open @6:30pm, Show @7:30pm.  THE BASSMENT, 202 – 4th Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK.

Tickets: Available by contacting the Saskatoon & District Labour Council (306) 384-0303, or online at The Bassment’s Eventbrite ticket conduit.  Prices: $35 members, $45 non-members.
