Run for L’Arche, supported by QR Calgary

The Acera Insurance (formerly Rogers Insurance) Run for L’Arche offers both an in-person and virtual option so participants can support the race in the way that works best for them.

• Run or walk in-person at Confluence Plaza on St. Patrick’s Island in Calgary on Saturday, April 1, or participate virtually anytime, anywhere from Saturday, April 1 to Sunday, April 9.
• Our in-person and virtual race offers options for a one kilometre, three kilometres, five kilometres, 10 kilometres and half marathon.
• Virtual participants can be creative, using city pathways, stairs, backyards or even a treadmill!
• If you can’t walk or run, we encourage you to reach out to discuss sponsorship, peer-to-peer support, or volunteering opportunities.

• We are proud to offer an inclusive race that welcomes participants of all ages and abilities!
• Participants can walk or run at their own pace, and wheelchairs and other mobility devices are always welcome.

Beginning in 2011, the Acera Insurance (formerly Rogers Insurance) Run for L’Arche has raised over $655,000 to support people with intellectual disabilities through L’Arche Calgary’s programs

• L’Arche Calgary creates a community of belonging for over 100 people, including 33 core members with intellectual disabilities.
• L’Arche Calgary operates five homes, a supported independent living program and the Tamarack Day Program.
• L’Arche Calgary believes in recognizing the gifts of people with intellectual disabilities, through mutually transforming relationships. We strive to foster a community of belonging, togetherness, diversity and humanity!
