RBC Race for the Kids; supported by Global Calgary

After two years of operating as a virtual event during the pandemic, RBC Race for the Kids is back with a day of in-person fun that includes a 6-km family walk/run, race T-shirt, pancake breakfast, as well as all-day parking and access to Heritage Park on September 11.

Now in its sixth year, RBC Race for the Kids funds programs and services that help kids in the community who are struggling with their mental health. Registrants can set up their own fundraising page to reach out to family and friends for support. While billed as a 6-km run, RBC Race for the Kids is designed for everyone. The Race begins at 8:45 a.m. but participants are encouraged to arrive early, beginning at 8 a.m. Start times will be staggered so the pathways don’t get too congested and families with small kids and strollers can go at their own pace, and there are opportunities to cut the race short and turn back if the little ones aren’t feeling up to completing the circuit.

For those who enjoyed making RBC Race for the Kids their own over the last two years, a virtual participation option exists. Registration is free and participants can walk or run where they choose and still fundraise for child mental health. Virtual participants can also receive a race T-shirt when they fundraise $50 or more!

Registration is now open with special early-bird pricing of $25 for adults and $15 for youth age 3-17. Children 2 and under are free.
