Dear friends, Please join 30 music lovers for an intimate musical experience in a living room, as part of the Music Friends house concert series. Hailed by CBC as “Canada’s Next Big Cello Star,” cellist Cameron Crozman will get you in the mood for the spring with a selection of warm and invigorating works for solo cello including Bach’s iconic Cello Suite No. 1 in G major, as well as Spanish composer Gaspar Cassadó’s solo cello suite. In honour of Beethoven’s 250th anniversary year, this wonderful evening of music will culminate in a performance of the great composer’s most celebrated work for cello and piano, the lyrical and uplifting Cello Sonata No. 3 in A major, with Music Friends co-founder Eric Wong on the piano. Cameron will be playing on the Spanish cello “El Tiburon” attributed to Juan Guillami of Barcelona ca. 1769, generously on loan from the Canada Council for the Arts Instrument Bank.
