Khartum Shriners are holding a special event on June 2, 2019 to celebrate 97 years of caring for disabled children through the Shriners Hospitals. Until 1977, there was a Shriners Hospital for Children in Winnipeg. Today, there are 22 Shriners Hospitals in North America , with only one being located in Canada, in Montreal Quebec. On June 2, the Shriners are welcoming current and former Shrine patients and their families, and former hospital staff, to join the Khartum Shriners at the Khartum Centre located at 1155 Wilkes Ave, Winnipeg, for our “Memories Bar B Que” to reconnect and celebrate 97 years of helping our “Shrine Kids”. The public is welcome to attend.
