COURSE DESCRIPTION: Kushok continues his commentary on Shantideva’s landmark text on cultivating the altruistic heart that works for the benefit of all beings day and night, The Way of the Bodhisattva. This teaching begins at Verse XX in Chapter 8. Chapter 8 describes the Meditation practice that forms the heart of the journey to enlightenment. Through following the contemplative instructions in this chapter, one can overcome the root delusions and achieve liberation. This one day teaching retreat combines Kushok’s valuable philosophical instruction, meditation, and the opportunity to have dharma questions answered by Kushok. TARGET AUDIENCE: Anyone with an interest in compassion and meditation is welcome to attend this course. All faiths welcome.
