Shingles are caused by reactivation of the varicella zoster virus, the same virus that causes chickenpox. Older adults and individuals with a weakened immune system are at greatest risk for developing shingles. Symptoms, causes risk factors, complications and prevention are discussed. 2:00 – 3:00 Skin Conditions – Presented by Doug Edgar Doug Edgar will present on four major skin problems: cancer, shingles, nails fungus and pressure sores.
