Join us for TOK Winnipeg, a two-day symposium taking place November 9-10, 2018. TOK, the digital magazine of Diaspora Dialogues, publishes fiercely honest, freshly original writing from our cities, and from around the world. TOK Winnipeg includes an industry program of two professional development workshops for emerging authors to learn vital skills including pitching agents and publishers, as well as marketing themselves and their works. The day will end with a networking reception, including writers, industry professionals and symposium participants. All are free to attend, but registration is required. The PD workshops are capped at 25 people per workshop, so as to facilitate direct engagement with the speakers. Day two includes a panel conversation, Blowing Up CanLit, and three on-stage interviews with authors that are being taped for a podcast series. These events are free and open to the public; registration through our Eventbrite pages is preferred as they will be first-come, first served.
