Where We Are is comprised of two original works by incoming Artistic Director, Wen Wei Wang. Last Words is a poignant homage to the delicacy of human life and how we face the anguish of loss and move through the layers of grief to emerge with acceptance and hope. Set to the haunting music of the Peter Gregson Quartet. X-Body aims to choreographically explore the qualities that constitute a ballet dancer’s body. The striking, punctuated electronic score by Senking highlights the dancers as they construct codified movement and use rhythm and tempo to articulate the message in an abstract form.
