Occupational First Aid Level 1

Date: November 17, 2018 Time: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Place: White Valley Community Hall – 2250 Shields Avenue, Lumby Cost: $105.00 Please bring a bag lunch Certification: Participants receive a 3 year certificate Registration: Pre-registration required, please call the Lumby Health Centre @ 250-547-9741 This basic first aid course is designed to provide skills that include; minor wound care, CPR & obstructed airway management, hemorrhage control, recognition of spinal injuries and stabilization of the injured worker until a higher level care is available. This course also provides students with information relating to WCB regulatory requirements and appropriate documentation. Course Requirements: • Candidates must be 16 years of age to be certified. • In good health and physical condition. • Candidates must provide the instructor with valid ID. • This certificate is recognized in Alberta as an Emergency First Aid certificate equivalent (see Tilma Agreement info on our website). • Students must prepay to secure a seat in class.
