The program supports students between grades K – 6 from Calgary elementary schools located in economically disadvantaged neighborhoods, often with high ESL and New Canadians populations. Many of the students who visit the park through their TD Learning Naturally field trip experience the wonders of this cherished natural area for the first time. If you enjoy visiting Fish Creek with your family, and recognize the importance of instilling a lifetime of unforgettable memories in today’s youth, then please donate to the Friends of Fish Creek through Birdies for Kids. From now until the end of the Shaw Charity Classic, which runs August 29 – September 2 at the Canyon Meadows Golf and Country Club, every dollar donated through BFK will be matched up to 50% by the Shaw Charity Classic foundation and partnering organizations.
