Vancouver Pagan Pride Day – Celebrating it’s 20th year! Vancouver Pagan Pride Day will be held on August 11th, 2018 at Trout Lake (John Hendry) park from 10AM to 5PM. Just across the lake from the Vancouver Farmer’s Market. People of all ages and spiritual backgrounds are welcome to attend this community event. There will be information booths, vendors, free workshops and entertainment throughout the day, ending with a Harvest Themed feast to commemorate the Autumn Equinox, a time of thanksgiving in many Pagan traditions. Vancouver Pagan Pride Day is free to attend, but we do ask that you please bring 1 non-perishable food item for our local food bank or animal shelter, monetary donations will be accepted as well. The food drive is an important focus for this event, to encourage community involvement to help those most in need. Vancouver Pagan Pride is in association with the International Pagan Pride Project, a non-profit organization, dedicated to the elimination of prejudice and religious discrimination through education, activism, charity and community. We are committed to dispelling myths surrounding Paganism. Most Pagans live respectfully of nature, humanity, and oneself. This event is meant to reduce discrimination and present the value that our paths bring to society. Emphasizing that we do not seek to convert but ask each person to Honour the Divine in the manner that best suits each individual. We encourage and welcome all to come celebrate our 20th anniversary event to explore what Paganism can mean for you!
