Are you into science, space, universe, or stars? Come explore music inspired by science and space as Mount Royal Kantorei presents “Harmony of the Spheres” concert at TELUS Spark Calgary. FREE ADMISSION for children 12 and under! Since ancient times, man has watched the skies and wondered what it is like to be in the midst of them. Pythagoras hypothesized that each planet had its own resonance and hum, creating a celestial music he called “Harmony of the Spheres”. Join Mount Royal Kantorei as they explore a variety of pieces based on this same inspiration of the stars and planets, and the music that dances through our universe. Amusing compositions like “And Einstein Said” and the ethereal “Stars”, orbit the central “Sunrise Mass” by Ola Gjeilo, making for a stellar concert.
