With seasons changing in Manitoba, Spruce and the Meadowlark is ready to release their latest recordings, Orchard Season. An evening of intimate and emotional music will be celebrated. The entire album was recorded live off the floor in one take; the music is raw and real showing the musical talent of the five piece band that includes Aisha Belle (violin, vocals), Donavan Locken (mandolin), Tim Osmond (banjo), Lucas Kost (guitar) and Ashley Au (bass). The combination of complex driving instrumentals and haunting lyrics help to create a new perspective on the marriage of folk and bluegrass.
